Art Found — A Pioneer at the Crossroads of Poetry, Music, and AI

Art Found is a Russian–Australian poet, songwriter, and musical innovator whose journey spans decades, continents, and now, the frontier of artificial intelligence in art.

Born and raised in the Soviet city of Sverdlovsk, Russia, Art Found began writing songs in the late 1980s, performing as a guitarist in a local rock band during the city’s vibrant underground music era. His early works reflected the raw spirit of youth and the cultural shifts of the time.

In the late 1990s, he relocated to Australia, where songwriting remained his lifelong passion, though professional and personal commitments left little time to bring his musical ideas fully to life. That changed dramatically in late 2024, when Art Found began experimenting with AI-assisted music creation — and discovered a revolutionary tool for the modern songwriter.

By mid-2025, Art Found had completed his first full-length album of original Russian-language songs, combining his own lyrics and melodies with arrangements and production generated through advanced AI instruments. Released on vinyl through the iconic Zenith Records factory in Melbourne, the self-titled “Art Found” LP made history as the first Russian-language vinyl album featuring AI-made music — and possibly the first of its kind ever produced in Australia.

This landmark release drew attention from music historians and was officially archived in the National Film and Sound Archive of Australia, cementing Art Found’s place in the evolving story of AI-driven creativity.

Following that success, Art Found continued exploring new artistic directions with his second album, “Art Found Project”, a digital-only release featuring English-language songs spanning a range of styles from jazz to pop. This work showcased both his lyrical depth and his adaptability as a songwriter in the era of human–AI collaboration.

In late 2025, Art Found founded a thriving online community at https://aislop.space — a name playfully referencing “AI slop,” a term sometimes used disparagingly online to describe AI-generated art. Turning the insult on its head, Art Found adopted it as a symbol of pride and defiance, championing the creativity and legitimacy of AI-assisted artists.

Recognizing the immense potential and often-overlooked brilliance of independent AI musicians, Art Found initiated a non-commercial, freely downloadable album project titled “The Best of AI Music 2025.” Personally curating and evaluating all submissions based on his vast musical experience, he assembled a remarkable collection of AI-created songs by talented artists from around the world.

Released in November 2025 on https://aihits.online the compilation became one of the world’s first albums dedicated entirely to AI-made music. The project not only celebrated creativity but also aimed to challenge misconceptions and showcase the genuine artistry possible when human imagination meets machine innovation.

Through his songwriting, community-building, and bold experimentation, Art Found continues to redefine what it means to be a modern musician — bridging the analog past and the AI-driven future, and proving that inspiration knows no technological boundaries.
